“ Isobel and his family and staff are a community asset. This is truly Latin Soul Food in the true home style. The mole is spot on and will leave you feeling almost high on all the spices. From breakfast to dinner you won't go wrong. Pay little attention to those who say it is bad here; they are either grumpy, entitled, snotty or they came on a rare bad day. After 32 years of eating mex, latin, and central american food in the SF bay, El Mocajete relieved me of my anxiety about finding good cuisine in Ridgewood. Turn up the music, Isobel!!! ”

“ A Hidden Gem in Ridgewood! Taqueria Molcajete is such an underrated spot! It’s technically a deli, but they’ve created a cozy seating area for dining in. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We came on Valentine’s Day and they had an extremely beautiful backdrop. We ordered the molcajete, which is meant for at least two people, but honestly, it was so loaded that we couldn’t even finish it! It comes packed with a variety of meats, shrimp, nopales, cheese, and more—absolutely delicious. It’s also served with rice, beans, and a generous portion of tortillas. To top it off, we had micheladas served in beautiful terra cotta drinkware with Modelo beer—such a nice touch! The pictures don’t do it justice; you have to come and try it for yourself. Definitely another hidden gem in Ridgewood! ”

“ Been coming to this restaurant for many years , this is the place where you can find authentic Mexican cuisine the owner is an amazing person who’s been part of the Ridgewood community for quite some time, if you new to our neighborhood I will 100% recommend to visit this place and have a delicious experience full of flavor and an amazing service. This place offers many varieties of vegetarian dishes I personally recommend the mushroom quesadilla, veggie/ cheese enchiladas and the green chilaquiles after a party night are just the perfect cure for your problems, horchata is the boom they also serve beer, sodas and various drinks.
